This
world premeire film chronicles a year in the career of Newt Gingrich,
the most prominent Republican politician of the '90s, as he decends
from Speaker of the House to private citizen. As the architect of
the "Republican Revolution" he fashioned the first Republican House
majority in over fifty years. The Fall of Newt Gingrich covers the
months that led up to Gingrich's surprising resignation announcement
and his subsequent transition to private life. This verite film
follows Gingrich as he engages in legislative activities, heads
off on the campaign trail, spins election results for the media,
and ultimately resigns the Speakership. The Fall of Newt Gingrich
captures an inside look into some of the most dramatic political
moments in recent memory.

Bio:
Michael Pack founded Manifold Productions, Inc. in 1977 through
which he has executive produced, written, and directed numerous
award-winning nationally broadcast documentaries which explore politics,
history, science, and culture, as well as corporate and educational
films. His credits include: The Rodney King Incident: Race and Justice
in America, Inside the Republican Revolution: The First Hundred
Days, Hollywood vs. Religion, Campus Culture Wars: Five Stories
about Political Correctness. Previously, Mr. Pack served as Co-Chair
of the International TV Council at the Corporation fro Public Broadcasting
in which he oversaw efforts to launch cooperative programs between
U.S. stations and their counterparts in Eastern Europe and the former
Soviet Union. Prior to that, he served as Director of WORLDNET,
the U.S. information Agency's television and film service.
