For the past 10 years, Rosebud Film and Video Awards has been exhibiting and honoring works made by film and video makers from Maryland, Washington D.C., and Northern Virginia. Their goal is to honor the innovative, experimental, unusual or deeply personal in creative filmmaking.

Raised on the Row (Ed Winslow & Jordan Reynolds, 17 min., Beta SP) Interviews with Chris Thomas & Steve Roach, who were executed by the State of Virginia in January, 2000.

They Ruled the World (Mike Fisher , 6 min., Beta SP) A band of other worldly explorers follow their leader through the bathroom of death!

Bazaar (Joshua Muntain , 2 min., Beta SP) A culturally shell-shocked American tourist learns not to jump to conclusions.

Corcovado (Cable Hardin, 12 min., Beta SP) Two steakhouse patrons, served with steaming plates of boredom and malaise, escape the monotony by daydreaming of cowboys and cavemen.

Witnesses (Grace Guggenheim, 14 min., Beta SP) The story of six individuals whose lives were touched by their Woodley House experience.

Greater Than Half (Andrew Carnwath, 15 min., Beta SP) Raymond and Simon, avoiding their fears of the world, learn to open their eyes and see themselves in each other.

Single Spaced (Todd Rohal, 14 min. 16 mm) A quiet stocky lad converts his fears into a film noir fantasy in front of an unreceptive class.

Rocky IV (Rachel Max, 2 min., Beta SP) A red-blooded critique of the American icon.

Many of the film and video makers will be on hand to discuss their works.
