Trashmonster tells the story of the relationship between a can-recycling bum and a mysterious monster that originated from genetic waste. The bum is brought in to help the police to investigate a series of murders where trash was found at the crime scene. The monster, meanwhile, is collecting cans of genetic waste and adding a new ingredient in an effort to create more beings like itself. The bum eventually discovers the monster's lair and witnesses the failed experiments of the monster. Their encounter results in a reconciliation that has a transcendent effect on the bum.

Tidbit:
Oscar the Grouch is a monster who he lives in a trash can. But he is not a Trashmonster.

Bio:
Henry Turner was born in Baltimore and attended Towson State University and the University of Maryland at Baltimore County. He shot Trashmonster between 1985 and 1989, and the film debuted at the Maryland Institute in 1989. He is currently living in Los Angeles where his is finishing a novel, studying with the novelist John Rechy. Also present is his brother Dick Turner who did all of the sound for the movie. Henry also works for the Slamdance Film Festival-and he will help present the Maryland Film Festival screening of We Married Margo.
