MARYLAND FILM FESTIVAL
CHOOSES SUPER BOWL CHAMPION COACH
AS CLOSING NIGHT GUEST HOST

What?
This year the Maryland Film Festival Closing Night film will be Guest Hosted by Super Bowl World Champion Ravens football coach Brian Billick. Coach Billick will host a special screening of one of Mr. Eastwood's private prints of the multi-award-winning film, Unforgiven.

The film's Academy Award winning editor, Joel Cox, will also attend the screening and party. The traditional Closing Night party will follow the screening and discussion at the National Aquarium. The cult band The Billy Nayor Show will perform.

Coach Billick's personally chosen movie, Unforgiven was used as part of the Ravens Super Bowl training regimen. During the Question and Answer period after the movie, Coach Billick will point out specific scenes that he found especially useful.

Unforgiven, Clint Eastwood's masterful exploration of the strange ethics of the Wild West was written by David Webb Peoples, and stars Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman and Morgan Freeman. The most honored of all Clint Eastwood's directing efforts, Unforgiven received eight Academy Award nominations, and won five Awards including Best Director, Best Editing, and Best Picture. It won multiple nominations and awards from the Golden Globes, The British Academy, the New York, Los Angeles and National Film Critics, and the Directors Guild

A programming tradition started by the Maryland Film Festival, the Guest Host Program brings well-known people from outside the film world in to host screenings of movies that are meaningful to them. In the first two years of the Festival, nationally known artists, designers, an Orioles pitcher, politicians, and a Pulitzer Prize winning historian have introduced a wide variety of films
