EYEBALL EDDIE (dir. Elizabeth Allen, LA, CA) 28.5 minutes, 35mm,
MARYLAND PREMIERE
Eddie (Martin Starr of Freaks & Geeks) is an unpopular high school student with a glass eye. His social status begins to change when he learns to use his disability to his advantage during wrestling matches. Through encounters with school photographer, Layla (Melissa Hunter), Wrestling Coach Cook (M. Emmet Walsh, Blood Simple, Raising Arizona), and teammate Tom (Michael Rosenbaum, Urban Legend, Smallville), Eddie learns the price of popularity and that winning isn't everything.

PAPERBOYS (dir. Mike Mills) 40 minutes, BetaSP
The old-fashioned notion of the paperboy seems somewhat contradictory to the idea of the contemporary teenage boy. This lighthearted documentary examines the personal culture of six paperboys to provide a look into how they view their place (and the place of tradition) in the modern world and what they think the future will bring.
