Perhaps it wasn’t predictable that Ravens Linebackers Coach Singletary would be a fan of Jimmy Stewart, but when you see him around his family, you start to understand. Coach Singletary is a big movie fan, and of all Jimmy Stewart’s great film work, he particularly loved Shenandoah because it tells the story of a father and his family drawn into the Civil War. Made in 1965, this film is in the tradition of the great sweeping Western (some of the early battle footage comes from Raintree County), and tells a story that has particular relevance today.
