Dusty, an ex-porn
filmmaker and current porn-magazine writer, and Wes, an awkward
17-year-old living with his divorced dad, both live in a low-income
apartment complex in the middle of nowhere special. Through stolen
mail, Wes discovers that Dusty writes for “Dear Pillow”,
a magazine filled with made-up fantasies from women, and decides
he wants to do the same. For material, Wes transcribes eavesdropped
phone-sex conversations from Lorna, his landlady. Meanwhile, Dusty
is determined to pair Wes and Lorna in a sexy video made specifically
for Dusty’s former lover (and former porn star), Nick. Now
involved in a daring threesome, Dusty, Wes, and Lorna challenge
each other to let go of morality in the face of desire and test
each other’s boundaries in their attempt to destroy boundaries
altogether. They discover, however, that their boundaries are highly
personal, stubborn and able to bend but not break.
