  • Vivat! Film Series as part of Baltimore's celebration of Russian art, music, and culture in honor of the 300th anniversary of the founding of St. Petersburg, Russia
    • Window to Paris (Rare screening of Yuri Mamin's comic satire on post-perestroika Russia)
    • October (Sergei Eisentein's classic silent film with musical accompaniment by Philip Carli and hosted by Eisenstein scholar, Yuri Tsivian )
    • Russian Ark (The Baltimore Premiere of Alexander Sokurov's acclaimed film.)
    • Love (Hollywood's retelling of Anna Karenina starring Greta Garbo - silent film with live music by Boister )
  • Decasia (Hosted by director, Bill Morrison - only Baltimore showing - "one of the top 10 movies of 2003" - J. Hoberman, Village Voice )

 

  • Whale Rider (Baltimore Premiere of the award-winning film with stars Keisha Castle-Hughes , Rawiri Paratene , and Cliff Curtis in attendance. The three stars treated the audience to an impromptu vocal performance over the end credits before their Q&A session with the audience.)

  • Juneteenth Film Series at The Walters Art Museum
  • Body and Soul ( Joyce Scott and Lorraine Whittlesey provided music for Oscar Micheaux's historic silent film)
  • Freestyle: The Art of Rhyme (Featuring director Kevin Fitzgerald and performance by Soul Rebels and open mike freestyle rap)
  • Artscape Shorts in a Tent : Two days of programming of short films from the Maryland Film Festival with the majority of filmmakers on hand. Many great films including The Vest and Kinetic Sandwich , which Artscape audiences got to see six months prior to their showing at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, played in our air-conditioned tent.

 

  • Camp (Baltimore Premiere and Party with director Todd Graff and stars Daniel Letterle , Joanna Chilcoat , Robin de Jesus , Tiffany Taylor , Brittany Pollack , and Patrick Cubbedge )

 

 

  • Diner Guys (Rare screening of Barry Levinson's documentary on his friends who inspired his breakthrough film, Diner. Many of the "diner guys" were on hand for the screening, which was part of the Jewish Museum of Maryland's Entertaining America exhibit.

 

  • Girlhood (Baltimore Premiere of the award-winning documentary hosted by director Liz Garbus and members of the cast)
  • 21 Grams (Baltimore Premiere with actress Melissa Leo on hand for a Q&A - Now playing at The Charles Theatre and Muvico Egyptian at Arundel Mills )
  • Girl with a Pearl Earring (Baltimore Premiere of the award-winning film starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Firth - Coming Soon to The Charles Theatre )
  • Cold Mountain (Baltimore Premiere with cast member Charlie Hunnam on hand for a Q&A - Now Playing at The Rotunda Cinemateque and other area theaters )
