What kinds of volunteer jobs are available?

We have numerous volunteer opportunities including Pre-Festival Office support, Hospitality, Ushers/Floaters, Box-office/ticket sales, Ticket takers, Merchandise/information services, Greeters and Shuttle Drivers.  We'll do our best to assign jobs that cater to your strengths and level of involvement you wish to commit.

How does a volunteer shift last during the Festival?

Most shifts are approximately 4 hours.

Do volunteers receive anything special at the Festival?
Volunteers receive an exclusive volunteer T-Shirt, a FREE screening voucher that can be redeemed for films or merchandise, and an invitation to a post-Festival "volunteers only" screening, usually the Monday after the festival, and of course, and undying gratitude!
Are you a take-charge person? Want to really be involved in the workings of the Fest?

We are also looking for folks who can commit more time and take on leadership roles at the Festival. Volunteer Captain responsibilities include:
Line Captains handle ticket-holder lines and should feel comfortable dealing with people and will communicate closely with the Theatre Captain
Theatre Captains communicate with the line captain, for update seating schedules and crowd control outside the theatre.
Volunteer Check-in Captains greet volunteers as they report to the filmmaker lounge for their shift, assign position, and distribute passes at check-out.
