Become a Friend of the
Festival and you’ll not only enjoy our growing annual four-day
festival, you’ll get so much more throughout the year with
several events each month. We bring films, filmmakers and audiences
together in an atmosphere that’s both comfortable and totally
fun. Groundbreaking films. Independent films. Classic films. Big
studio prerelease films. You’ll experience them all year long
and see something that’s truly different. Friends of the Festival
screenings present the art of filmmaking the way it’s meant
to be — entertaining and enlightening.
"You need to know. The Maryland Film Festival
totally rocks. The best audience we ever had, and great treatment
and programming all around." - Keith Bearden, Writer/Director/Producer
of award-winning Raftman’s Razor

HELP. Keep filmmaking alive
in Maryland.
Last year, all film, television and commercial production
combined pumped $75 million into Maryland’s economy. When
you become a Friend of the Festival, you’ll be supporting
the annual Maryland Film Festival held in May. Since 1999, it’s
been the best showcase for filmmakers to see how great Maryland
is for productions of all kinds.
IT’S EASY. Membership
starts at just $50.
We don’t ask you to commit to a certain number
of predetermined events during the year. Instead you can enjoy the
flexibility of attending events as they fit into your schedule.
By becoming a Friend of the Festival, you’ll help us build
upon what we’ve already started — bringing extraordinary
filmmakers and their films to Maryland.
The Friends of the Festival
is supported by grants from the France-Merrick Foundation, The Abell
Foundation, and program-related investments from The Rouse Company
Foundation and The Charlesmead Foundation.
